Hungarian Distributor Secures Trial Order for 200 Electric Tricycles Following Exhibition

Driven by a new wave of green mobility in Europe and the demands of an aging society, electric mobility devices are becoming a key driver of improved quality of life for consumers. Recently, Wellsmove, an international personal mobility brand, announced a successful trial order for 200 electric tricycles from a key local distributor at the International Smart Mobility Exhibition in Budapest, Hungary. This collaboration marks another significant milestone for Wellsmove in its European market expansion and powerfully demonstrates the precise alignment between its product capabilities and localized European needs.

Targeting Hungarian Market Pain Points: Aging Population Creates Billions in Mobility Demand

As a member of the European Union, Hungary faces significant challenges due to its aging population. According to the latest demographic data, the proportion of people aged 65 and over in Hungary has exceeded 20%, far surpassing the UN’s definition of an “aging society.” In the streets and alleys of Budapest, and on the rural roads of small towns, ensuring the safe and convenient daily travel of the elderly has become a crucial issue for local development.

Meanwhile, the EU’s vigorous promotion of green travel policies has opened up vast opportunities for the low-speed electric mobility scooter market. According to EU regulations, low-speed electric mobility scooters with speeds below 45 km/h can be classified as “micromobility tools,” enjoying subsidies of up to €500 and legally permitted on bike lanes, perfectly suited to the narrow road layouts and short-distance travel scenarios of European cities. As a key region for the implementation of these policies, Hungary has seen a growing demand from local consumers for electric mobility tools that combine environmental friendliness and practicality.

Recognizing this market opportunity, Hungarian dealers showed great interest in the Wellsmove electric tricycle at the exhibition. “What we need is a product that truly solves the pain points of elderly people’s travel—it must be stable and safe, and adaptable to Hungary’s hilly terrain,” said the dealer’s representative at the exhibition. Wellsmove’s product precisely addresses these needs.

Core Product Strength: Technology and Quality forge a passport to the European market

Wellsmove’s confidence in standing out in the highly competitive European market stems from over two decades of technological accumulation in the field of electric mobility. Since venturing into vehicle metal frame manufacturing in 2003 and focusing on the research and development of personal electric mobility vehicles in 2010, Wellsmove has consistently adhered to the core principles of “people-oriented and quality-first,” building two core technological advantages: steel-aluminum metal structures and electronic systems.

The electric tricycle that recently won the trial order is a culmination of Wellsmove’s technological prowess. Equipped with a 600W high-performance motor, it can easily handle the climbing needs of 30-degree slopes, perfectly adapting to the hilly terrain of Hungary. Featuring a large-capacity 48V 12A/20A battery, it balances range and portability, meeting the diverse travel needs of the elderly for daily shopping, park walks, and picking up grandchildren. Its top speed of 35km/h complies with EU regulations for low-speed electric mobility scooters while ensuring travel safety.

In terms of product safety, Wellsmove meets stringent EU standards. The entire vehicle is CE and EMARK certified, and the body frame is made of high-strength steel and aluminum. In rollover collision tests, the roof deformation is strictly controlled within EU standards. The battery pack has undergone more than ten rigorous tests, including needle penetration, compression, and overcharge tests, eliminating the risk of fire and explosion at the source. At the exhibition, dealers personally experienced the vehicle’s stability and handling – the simple control panel, responsive braking system, and comfortable seat design drew praise from test drivers: “This vehicle is perfect for seniors; it’s easy to operate and provides a strong sense of security.”

It’s worth noting that Wellsmove has already built a strong reputation in the European market. Previously, after exporting 200 units of the same series of electric tricycles to Italy, they quickly became a favorite among the local elderly. In Rome and Milan, elderly people can be seen leisurely driving Wellsmove tricycles between markets and parks. This success story in the Italian market significantly influenced the decision to cooperate with the Hungarian dealer.

Trial Order Opens a New Chapter: Jointly Deepening the European Local Market

This trial order of 200 units is not accidental, but rather the inevitable result of Wellsmove’s long-term strategy in the European market. In recent years, with the accelerating global aging process, Wellsmove has precisely targeted the “silver economy” sector, iterating and upgrading its products to meet the regulatory requirements and consumer habits of the European market. From the vehicle’s exterior design to its functional configuration, the needs of the elderly population in Europe have been fully considered – for example, additional storage space has been added to facilitate carrying shopping bags; the vehicle’s shock absorption system has been optimized to improve driving comfort on bumpy roads.
